Post-COVID19 Report: Facing the Challenges In Singapore’s Beauty & Wellness Industry
Singapore’s Beauty & Wellness Industry was going through a fast pace of development from 2017 to 2019. While new entrants brought innovative ideas and vigour to the industry, existing players were facing many forces in the business environment that exert change.
COVID-19 became the catalyst to accelerate these changes as personal safety, working from home, digital shopping and wellness abruptly became a part of consumer lifestyle. Things that were perceived as good to have suddenly became essentials for business sustainability and growth.
This report examines the developments and trends in the global wellness arena and in Singapore. The findings of the SWAS Manpower survey in 2022, based on information gathered across different sectors and segments of the Beauty & Wellness business community, is included to provide a candid picture of the challenges faced by the industry due to manpower shortage.
